Love Triangle: Why Do I Keep Attracting Emotionally Unavailable People? The Karmic Relationship Perspective
Love Triangle: Why Do I Keep Attracting Emotionally Unavailable People? The Karmic Relationship Perspective
You fall in love with someone who is already married.
Or with someone who refuses to commit.
Or with someone who seems to love you... but never leaves their partner.
Sometimes, it is not even about another romantic partner. The person you love is entirely focused on their child, their mother, their father, or their family. You are left with the feeling that you never truly have a place in their life.
And the same story keeps repeating itself.
Once.
Twice.
Then throughout an entire lifetime.
Eventually, one question always arises:
Why do I keep attracting emotionally unavailable people?
In my approach, this repetition is not a coincidence.
It is often part of what I call a karmic relationship.
Why Do I Keep Falling in Love with Married Men?
This is probably one of the questions I hear most often during consultations.
"Why do I always meet married men?"
"Why are the people I'm attracted to always already in a relationship?"
"Why can I never meet someone who is truly available?"
These situations often make it feel as though fate is working against you.
Yet, in karmic relationships, the real issue is not the married person.
The real issue is unavailability.
Someone who is already committed is, by definition, unavailable.
And it is precisely this unavailability that unconsciously attracts certain people.
A Love Triangle Is Not Only About Infidelity
When we hear the words love triangle, we immediately picture two women and one man... or two men and one woman.
But love triangles can take many different forms.
You may become involved with someone who is:
already married;
in a long-term relationship;
unable to leave a former partner;
emotionally unavailable;
unwilling to commit to a lasting relationship.
There are also much subtler triangles.
The third person may be a child.
Some people become so emotionally fused with their son or daughter that the couple relationship gradually disappears.
The partner always comes second.
They never truly have a place.
The third person may also be a parent.
A man who remains deeply attached to his mother.
A woman who cannot emotionally separate from her father.
Or a family that continues to influence every decision within the relationship.
Whatever form it takes, the outcome remains the same:
the relationship can never fully exist as a partnership between two people.
Why Do I Keep Attracting Emotionally Unavailable People?
This is where karmic relationships offer a different perspective.
Contrary to popular belief, we are not only attracted to personalities.
We are also attracted to certain types of emotional bonds.
In my approach, a karmic relationship is, above all, about the nature of the bond itself.
I will not go further here, because this is precisely the subject of my book Karmic Relationships and Soul Unions.
However, one thing is essential to understand.
At the root of many karmic relationships lies a deeply painful memory of separation.
A profound fear of losing the other person.
A fear so ancient that it can operate entirely outside our conscious awareness.
Paradoxically, the unconscious mind may therefore choose someone who is already unavailable.
Why?
Because it will never have to face the full risk of losing a relationship that has been completely built.
In a way, emotional unavailability protects us from the fear of separation.
Of course, this mechanism is entirely unconscious.
It is never a deliberate choice.
Why Doesn't He Leave His Wife?
This question causes tremendous suffering.
You wait.
You hope.
You analyze every message.
You believe that this time will be different.
Weeks become months.
Months sometimes become years.
And nothing changes.
In a karmic relationship, the issue is not simply the other person's decision.
The real issue is the bond itself.
As long as that bond remains active, stepping back becomes incredibly difficult.
You continue hoping despite the evidence.
You continue waiting despite the pain.
You remain emotionally attached to someone who is never truly available.
Why Am I Always the Second Choice?
Some people feel as though they are living the same story over and over again.
They are never truly chosen.
They always enter relationships where someone else already occupies first place.
A wife.
A partner.
A child.
A mother.
A father.
Or sometimes even a career that leaves almost no room for a relationship.
Without realizing it, they become "the second choice."
When this pattern keeps repeating, it deserves to be explored.
Because in karmic relationships, it is not only the person who returns.
It is often the entire scenario.
Why Do I Always Attract the Same Type of Partner?
You change cities.
You change jobs.
You change partners.
And yet...
The story begins again.
The faces are different.
But the suffering remains the same.
The situations feel familiar.
So do the emotions.
It is no longer a coincidence.
It is a repetitive pattern.
And as long as its origin remains unconscious, it may continue throughout your life.
How Can You Break Free from a Love Triangle?
Many people believe that meeting the right person is enough.
Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
If your inner patterns remain unchanged, you may simply attract another relationship built upon the same foundation.
Breaking free from a love triangle is therefore not only about leaving an unavailable person.
It is first about understanding why this story entered your life.
Why it affects you so deeply.
Why it feels so difficult to walk away.
Why it keeps repeating itself.
It is this understanding that gradually allows the cycle to come to an end.
Karmic Relationships: Another Way of Understanding Love
Karmic relationships are not only about love.
They are about emotional bonds.
About repetition.
About unconscious memories.
About what continually draws us toward the same stories until we finally understand their meaning.
If you feel that you keep attracting emotionally unavailable people, repeatedly experience love triangles, or always end up with the same type of partner, it may be time to explore what is truly happening beneath these experiences.
I explore all of these mechanisms in my book Karmic Relationships and Soul Unions, where I explain how these bonds are formed, why they are so powerful, and how they can evolve once they are finally understood.
